Live Music – Jack the Fox

Jack The Fox are an Acoustic Indie Folk/Blues/Roots duo based in Melbourne. Justin and Angus, are two school friends who grew up surfing on the South Victorian Coast. They have been writing and performing music together for just over 2 years but have only recently started recording in their own studio they built themselves, a once dusty old wine cellar, under Justin’s bedroom in Warrnambool, Vic.

The duo also currently busk on Bourke Street Mall in Melbourne’s CBD under the name Jack the Fox.

Jack the Fox, came from the first musical experience the pair had together which formed a song made up silly lyrics about a black fox named Jack who was chasing poor Johnny rabbit to eat him for dinner..

With musical influences from Ben Howard, Xavier Rudd, John Butler, Kyle Lionhart, John Mayer, Angus and Julia Stone, and close friend Harrison Storm, plus many more, mostly blues/roots/folk/soul music.
“Brother” is the first recorded track and they are in the process of recording many more and look forward to releasing early ’16!

Head in to the hotel on Friday night (come in early and watch the footy first) and you won’t be disappointed.  These guys are AWESOME!
