Snow Info 2021

Mt Buller

Mt Buller and Mt Stirling have opened their ski areas for 2021.

The resort has been working with government and industry to prepare a COVID SAFE operating plan to ensure the health and wellbeing of staff, guests and the wider community as restrictions ease and we can enjoy snowsports again.

It is going to be different this winter as we all adapt to the constraints of coronavirus.

Guest volumes in the resort will be limited to maintain social distancing, there will be rigid cleaning and sanitisation protocols in place, international staff will sadly be limited in their travel to work at Mt Buller this year, and local mountain staff numbers will be reduced. This means the full range of products and services may be reduced in 2021 to adapt to the necessary restrictions.

The biggest take away for this year is that you need to BOOK EARLY – lift passes, accommodation, resort entry and ski school.  You cannot purchase “on the day” with ease as in previous years.

Take a deep breath. If it doesn’t all work out exactly the way that you want it to – try again.
Choose some different dates.
Head up mid week.
Wait until September for some Spring skiing.

We’re REALLY grateful that we’re able to manage any kind of ski season this year so if you want to hit the slopes, you’ll have to play the game.

We recommend that you regularly check the Mt Buller snow cams www.mtbuller.com.au/Winter/snow-weather/snow-cams and Mt Stirling snow cams  www.mtstirling.com.au/plan/live-cams and sign up for lift pass updates here.

All guests to either resort will need to create a Buller / Stirling ID.  You can do so by texting ‘Buller’ or ‘Stirling’ to 0436020257.  You will be sent a QR code that can be used to enter the resort and any participating restaurants / cafes within either resort.  The same ID can be used for the entire season.
